Riding with a Pro and Friends

Me, Bryce, Drew, and Trent
This afternoon I had the opportunity to do something awesome! I got to spend a couple of hours with two of my racing friends doing some training with Drew Edsall, a pro mountain biker and one of my FirstPlaceRacing.com teammates.

As you can probably tell, I was pretty excited. I had my helmet and my bike shoes on and was ready to go the minute I got in the car, even though we had to drive 45 minutes to get to the trail in Gainesville.

Once we got there, Drew took us out and had us working on turns, climbing hills, and descending. Then we had a wheelie competition and track stand competition. Bryce won the wheelie competition, but I was a really close second. Trent won the track stand competition hands down--well, actually he won it with one hand up. LOL

We had a great time and Drew was a lot of fun to work with. Also, I learned that I definitely have some things to work on to get better prepared for the Florida State Championship series in September.

After the ride, we all went back to the Donovans' house for a cook out, some cooling off in the pool, and some video games. What a great day! I just couldn't wait to get home and share this.

**Mountain Bike Mike would like to thank Dyan Lee for the great pictures taken during our time with Drew. **
